- CLARENCE JENNINGS OBITUARY
Clarence Boyd Jennings of Duluth, born September 16, 1928 died peacefully on June 25, 2018 at the age of 89. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 40 years, Cheryl (nee Jackson). Mr. Jennings was known to all as "CB". Mr. Jennings is also survived by his children: Jennifer Johnson (m. Phillip) of Cumming, Dean Jennings (m. Ninfa), of Cumming and Judy Jennings of Lawrenceville. Stepdaughters: Lori Hill (m. Mike) of Johnson City, TN, and Lisa Alliston (m. Paul) of Cumming. Additionally, Mr Jennings is survived by his brother, Robert (Buddy) Jennings of McDonough. Also grandchildren Phil Johnson, Katie Phillips, Kyle Mack, Haley Mack, Taylor Jennings, Zack Chandler, Laney Hill, Jackson Hill, Spencer Alliston, Nick Alliston, and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Boyd Jennings, mother Rachel Jennings (nee Hall) and his sister Betty Brown of Denver, CO. CB was fortunate enough to have an instrumental role in the development and success of Atlanta-based Peachtree Windows and Doors, Inc. At the time of his retirement, he was Chairman and CEO of the company. He was a longtime member of the Atlanta Athletic Club as well as the Atlanta Rotary Club. For 31 years, he and Cheryl enjoyed their summers in Highlands NC as members of Wildcat Cliffs Country Club. The family wishes to express loving gratitude to all who have reached out to CB during his illness. No service will be held, but the family will receive visitors at Crowell Brothers Funeral Home in Peachtree Corners on Thursday, June 28 from 5 - 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.
